Pixel art

 

We have been learning about area and perimeter this task we made some pixel art one cube is 1 cm 2 so we calculated the area and put it all together there was 51 cm 2 of black, 198 cm 2 of yellow and 106 cm 2 of white the total is 375 cm 2.

Hand Perimeter Challenge

 Today the class did a hand perimeter challenge.  We had to work out the perimeter.  First we tried using a ruler then we figured out it would be easier to use something that could mould around the hand then measure that. We used pipe cleaners.

Myth Prior Knowledge

 This week for reading we had to do a pre reading task to find out what we know about myths before we start our new reading unit.  This is what I think.

Ancient Pompeii carriage found

Today we learnt about Pompeii and how this carriage was covered in volcanic rock from 79AD when a volcano erupted . People have now found this carriage but they did not know what it was until they researched Pompeii and they brushed it and found out that it was a carriage.  We had to decide if they should move the chariot or leave it where it is. I don't think it should be moved because its disrespectful to people that might've had family or people related.

Something I am proud of...

The thing I am most proud of is hitting the middle and the small jumps at the bike park and getting heaps air on the jumps.
 Why it is fun constantly going down there and practising. I wasn't good when I first went down there but now I am really good and I am proud of that.

This week we have been doing this report about 3 animals Kangaroos,Pandas,Lions. I really liked learning about the panda because it was the easiest one. I am looking forward to writing my own next week.
